Notes: 

Sketches for the slow movement and, possibly, an early version of the Finale of the Hammerklavier Sonata. The bottom portion of this leaf is in an album that belonged to Vincent Novello, now in a private British collection. This is the upper portion, with a strip of one original margin remaining. In the margin: "The hand writing of Beethoven. Given to me at Vienna, July 27. 1829 by Mrs. Streiker, one of Mozart and Beethovens Pupils, as well as one of Beethoven's oldest and most sincere friends."
