Tipped in are: a printed program, identified in Parry's hand as being for the Concert in Commemoration of the 1st 7 Divisions, at Albert Hall, on 15 Feb. 15: 1917, at which There is an old belief was performed; two autograph letters signed from Parry to R. F. Martin Akerman, dated London, 22 July and 13 August 1918, concerning this publication, and other musical matters; and two newspaper clippings about the works.
Inscription (in Parry's hand): The first five of these Motets were first sung at a Private Concert given by the London Bach Choir, under Dr Allen's conductorship at the R.C.M. in 1915 from lithographed copies. The Composer was present as were also H.F.W. Deane & Mr & Mrs Martin Akerman--Facing 1st p. of music, v. 1.
