Massenet has written dedications on the first page of each movement: 1: "à mon ami J. Armingaud"; 2: "à Madame Pauline Viardot"; and 3: "à mon ami E. Lalo."

Notes: 

Copyist's manuscript of the three-movement suite. The original caption title of each movement has been changed as follows: 1. "La Tempête," changed to "Prélude et Divertissement"; 2. "Le Sommeil de Desdémone," changed to "Mélodrame"; and 3. "Macbeth (Les sorcières [etc.]," changed to "Scène finale."
Massenet has rewritten the harp part on p. 4-7 of the "Mélodrame."
