Proof (fragment?) for the English ed. of the arrangement, consisting of t.p. in red pencil in composer's hand, and, on verso, the first page of the secondo part (p. 4) of the Breitkopf & Härtel publication with the pl. no. 6821 (which appears at the bottom of p. 4); the t.p. text reads: "Symphony (no III) / composed and dedicated (by permission) To her Majesty Queen Victoria by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy ; Op 56 ; arranged as a Duet for the Pianoforte by the Author. London, Ewer & Co ; Lyon Benacci & Peschier; Leipsic Breitkopf und Härtel." Corrections/emendations consist of the addition of a metronome marking at the top and a fortissimo marking in the fourth bar from the end. Dimensions: 22 cm. obl.
