Authors of the poetry include Yehuda Halevi (ca. 1075-1141), Shmu'el HaNagid (993-1056), Shelomo Ibn Gabirol (ca. 1021-1058), Josef Ibn Avitor (ca. 949-1024), and Dunash Ben Labrat (ca. 925).
