Notes
Renouf creates minimalist abstract paintings and drawings developed from her close attention to subtle properties of materials. This drawing is part of a series of nine "Time" drawings, inspired by the challenge of creating a visual metaphor for time. To create the work, she rubbed oil pastel into the paper, applying ink on top and incising lines into the paper with an etching point to reveal its organic qualities.
