Summary: 

Drawing shows a mob of Irish rebels, armed with pikes, slaughtering the British soldiers as they attempt to escape from the burning barracks, some soldiers jumping from the windows and being impaled on the spears, with onlookers beyond and to the right; with a sketch in graphite of a man with a spear in the margin at right.
