Drawing shows the 3/4 length figure of a clean-shaven seated man, facing 3/4 to the left, with legs crossed. Sketch on verso in graphite shows two men standing in conversation; the man at left is short and stout and wears a top hat and cape, while the man at right is tall and dressed in breeches with gaiters and wears a cap and carries a cane or riding crop; design probably intended for an illustration for an unidentified publication.
