Summary:
Drawing shows a man wearing a robe and kneeling against a book on a bookrest; he is surrounded by various implements of knighthood and piety, including a lance, sword, helmet, staff, palm, and pilgrim's hat with cockle shell. Through a window in the far wall of the room may be seen two men and a woman on horseback wearing medieval dress.
