Summary: 

Drawing in graphite on pages 2-3 shows a study of the trunk of a beech tree with a bare holly growing beside and into its base; drawing in pen and ink over graphite on pages 4-5 shows a shabby peddler standing with his cart of shoes, his hands clasped before him, dated at lower right, "April 1928"; sketch in graphite on pages 8-9 shows a garden with shrubs and flowers growing along what appears to be a brick or stone wall; two pencil portrait sketches of the same subject on pages 11 and 12 of a nun wearing in her habit and wearing spectacles.
