Notes
Marvin Bileck is renowned primarily as a printmaker and illustrator of children's books. This drawing is a study for "Rain Makes Applesauce", one of the New York Times' ten best illustrated children's books of 1964. Highly imaginative, Bileck's drawings are exquisitely detailed and full of whimsy.
