Summary: 

View of Durham Cathedral, with the cathedral at right and trees prominently delineated in the foreground at left. This drawing is from the opposite side of the River Wear, just below Prebends bridge, and features the west edifice of the cathedral and the Galilee chapel. It includes the medieval Framwellgate bridge, as well as Durham Castle.
