Summary:

A bull, rendered in Berman's characteristic style of liberally applied white, fills the present sheet. Berman is known for his Baroque-like theater designs and his imaginary landscapes. The drawing was executed during the decade in which Berman lived in Rome in the Doria Pamphilj palace, following his wife's suicide in 1955.
