Notes: 

A series of theatre drawings, probably made for the Roman court, Basoli studied at the academy at Bologna and later moved to Rome where he decorated palaces and theaters with his architectural perspectives. A series of these decorations was engraved by Francesco Cocci, Burdise, in 1810 under the title "Raccolta di Perspettiva Serie Rustiche e dei Paesaggio" but the present theatre designs remain unpublished.
