The engraving is from a portfolio of etchings entitled, "Theatrealische Verändergungen, vorgestellt in einer zu Mayland vergestellt Opera; Inventiert von Pietro Righini, zu finden bey Martin Engelbrecht, Kupferstecher und Kunstverleger in Augsburg," ca. 1720.

Inscribed on verso of mount, in pen and brown ink, "Disegno del sig. Pietro Righini, Parmeggiano - de sua mano propra".
