Inscribed on the album page below the design, in brown ink, "Honestè et públicè (title)/ Tú rectè vivis si cúras esse qúod aúdis" (And you - you live the true life, if you care to be what people call you). The text is from Horace, "Epistles", Book I, 16, line 17.
