Inscription: 

Inscribed by the artist in brown ink above the design, "A view of the head on Inlet of Honeyoye Lake - the diversity of tint on / these hills is Beauutifull. The land at the / other end of the lake if of the Best quality / & purfectly Flat for miles". Inscribed on verso by the artist in brown ink along upper margin, "I traced those I sent to England for my Father / May 8th ["th" in superscript] 1799".
