Description: 

This sheet was formerly folio II of a sketchbook, the flyleaf of which is inscribed Libro 24 and dated 24 October 1567, which was unbound in 1971 (see also no. 1980.13:2). On the basis of inscriptions, Elen suggests there must at one time have been at least thirty-seven such drawing-books by Cibo, most of which would appear to have been composed of single quires.
