Inscribed at lower center, in pen and brown ink, "Desiderio"; on mount, underneath drawing, in pen and brown ink, "Geboren A.o1555 / gestorben 1630"; in graphite, "La.lp(?)"; on verso of mount, in graphite, "Antonio Tempesta / 1555-"; on verso of lining, previously on back of drawing, now in departmental files, in graphite, "3 /".
