Notes
Watermark: none visible in raking light.
The design of the baldachin with the congregation of clerics has been cut out from an earlier sheet and combined with a later drawing of the interior of the church. The attribution of the baldacchino drawing to Ciampelli, who was at the time overseeing the Fabbrica di San Pietro, was first suggested by Christel Thiem and seconded by Sebastian Schutze.
The model was in place between 1628 and 1631. If the attribution of this drawing to Ciampelli is correct, his death in April 1630 would give a terminus ante quem.
