There is a similarity between the sheet and a drawing of a "Choppy Sea" (or "Ships in a Storm"), in the Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, CT (Inv. no. 1961.66.37), which is signed and also dated within a cartouche ("vroom Ao 1625").

Dated in cartouche at lower right center, in brown ink, "1623".
