Inscribed on the verso, in the lower left corner, in an older hand, in brown ink, "G"; at center, in graphite," 2 18" ["2" in superscript; "18" in subscript]; at right center, in graphite, "S 940 2(encircled)" ["S" in superscript; "940" in subscript; "2" in subscript]; below right, in graphite, "33"; at lower right, in graphite, "Vgs"; and in the lower right corner, also in graphite, "80762" ["2" in superscript].
Watermark: Countermark: Letters "PIOLLY" (similar to Churchill, no. 37: 1700).
