Inscription: 

Inscribed at lower right, in brown ink, partially cut off, "Poelenburg". Various inscriptions on the verso, in graphite, at upper center, "No ["o" in superscript] 2"; at upper right, "32"; at center, possibly in Georgina Morrison's hand, "Poelenburg"; and at lower left, in the same hand, "Poelenburg". On the old mount, with the Knapton code, in brown ink, at upper left, "634"; at center, "N 53"; and at upper right, "4N / L26".
Watermark: Foolscap with five points over "4" and three balls.
