Signed and dated at lower right, in black chalk, "VG 1651". Inscribed on the verso, at lower left, in graphite, 1046; at lower left corner, in brown ink, partly trimmed, "13 B(?)"; at lower center, in graphite, "12/2"; and at lower right, in graphite, "Van Goyen".
