The drawing and III-214c, as well as III-214b, were once together in the Wellesley collection, along with another drawing whose whereabouts are unknown, all attributed to Breenbergh and all once owned by Charles Fairfax Murray.

Inscribed on the verso, in graphite, at center right edge, "5 [in superscript] 82 ["82" in subscript]; at center, "Breemberg"; below this, "B 180"; and at lower right corner, "Wellesley Coll / 569-0417".
