This drawing is possibly a study for one of the designs for the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Paris, built by Joseph Peyre and Charles de Wailly, 1778-1782, and rebuilt by Jean-François Chalgrin in 1807.

Signed at lower right in pen and black ink, "Lafitte f"; inscribed at lower center, "adson".
