Probably dating from the late 1780's or early 1790's, this sketchbook, initially attributed to Claude Hoin (1750-1817), has yet to be firmly ascribed to a known artist.

Watermark: Letters "IBR". Seen on first blue page of sketchbook. Each individual letter is centered between chain lines.
Watermark: Countermark: Letters "DLG". Each individual letter is centered between chain lines of first brown page.
