Decorated title page by another hand, pen and black ink with gray wash; lettered, "Raccolta / delle opere / piu segnalate in disegno / a lapis rosso e nero / inventate e delineate dal celebre / Giambatista Piazzetta / Veneto pittore".
The drawings from the Kress Album were done for two different projects: "La Gerusalemme Liberata," produced in 1745 by the Venetian publisher Giovanni Battista Albrizzi, and "Studi di pittura," an instructional book with anatomical studies for beginning draughtsmen published by Albrizzi in 1760, a copy of which is in the Museo Correr, Venice.
