Enjoy an evening of chamber music with the acclaimed Paris-based Modigliani Quartet. This much-anticipated concert seamlessly blends a repertoire of Romantic and twentieth century music. Opening with the impassioned and fiery La Oración del torero (Bullfighter’s Prayer), and concluding with the final Tchaikovsky string quartet, the Modigliani Quartet imbues each piece with “ineffable sophistication” (The Sydney Morning Herald) and breathes new life into well-known composers.
For over twenty years, Modigliani Quartet has performed at the world’s top venues as one of today’s most in-demand string quartets. Amaury Coeytaux plays a 1715 violin by Stradivari, Loïc Rio plays a 1780 violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini, Laurent Marfaing plays a 1660 viola by Luigi Mariani, and François Kieffer plays a 1706 cello by Matteo Goffriller.
