"Two doctors (left) stoke the fires of a row of seven cylindrical vessels or furnaces from which their patients (half length) emerge. These recede slightly in perspective from right to left. On the extreme right is Burke ('B--e'), drooping dejectedly, and saying, "By Jasus I have got no Juice left". Next him Fox ('F--x') declaims, hat in hand, "I have sweated enough. Sheridan ('S--n') gesticulates furiously with clenched fists, saying, "This is Scandalous the Baily's have sufficiently sweated me" (executions in Sheridan's house were frequent).
