They seem to think it is never worth their while to make themselves agreeable. Now, plain people generally---" Mr. Riley Peppercorne. "Oh, hang it! - There, I beg your pardon - but this is the third time a lady has made that very remark to me this evening! Why not let a fellow think that you think he's good-looking and agreeable, too?"
