Proof of an unpublished wood engraving by W.H. Hooper after an illustration by Frederick Sandys for the poem of the same title by Marian E. James; Sandys ultimately rejected Hooper's engraving of his drawing and the design was subsequently recut by Joseph Swain and appeared in Once a week, iv, April 13, 1861, p. 434.
