Summary
Illustration shows a 17th century interior, probably that of an inn or tavern, where a young man and his companion are seated at a table with a jug and glasses between them; one of the men appears to be remonstrating with a young woman who confronts him with her hands on her hips and a distaff under one arm; she is accompanied by another young woman and a small group of men who stand behind her observing the encounter.
