Summary
Print shows a tailor in his squalid shop, seated cross legged on a low table or platform, ironing a customer's coat. Behind him at left, a scowling assistant is similarly employed, while a second assistant crouches on the floor in the foreground, heating irons in the mouth of a stove. Behind the young man sits a yowling cat, and at right, a haggard, bare breasted woman with a basket of vegetables balanced on her head bawls at the tailor through an open window.
