A companion print to Gillray's "Frying sprats, vide Royal Supper," the two prints being executed on the same etched plate with separate imprint statements, evidently intended to be displayed together.
Text below caption title reads: ..."So justly formed to meet by nature!" [continuation of text from Gillray's companion print of the Queen: "Ah! sure a pair was never seen,"...].

Summary
Print shows the King in a dressing-gown and nightcap, sitting over a fire toasting muffins, the muffin-dish on a tripod beside him. His stockings are ungartered, the 'Honi soit' ribbon hangs loose. On the fire is a large kettle.
