A companion print to Gillray's "Toasting muffins, vide Royal Breakfast," the two prints being executed on the same etched plate with separate imprint statements, evidently intended to be displayed together.
Text below caption title reads: "Ah! sure a pair was never seen,"... [continued on Gillray's companion print of the King: ..."So justly formed to meet by nature!"].
Library's copy is printed on the same sheet as the companion print (see 1986.174b), with shared plate mark, inlaid in a larger sheet, as reflected in the dimensions recorded above.

Summary
Print shows the Queen sitting over a fire toasting sprats on a gridiron. A plate of fish stands on a high trivet beside her. She wears over-sleeves, a check apron over an under-petticoat on which hangs a patched pocket, bulging with guineas.
