Etching with engraving?
The figures mounted on a snail and a frog are copied from Romeyn de Hooghe's Arlequin sur l'Hypogryphe, see Peel 0134.
This print is concerned with events in Britain, particularly with Charles Stuart, the last serious Stuart claimant to the British throne (the Young Pretender or Bonnie Prince Charlie). It was engraved by an English artist, but the presence of titles, inscriptions and verses in Dutch suggests that this print was to be sold in the Netherlands.
