[Psalter or Psalms of David, pointed for chanting, being the complete report of the Commission on pointing the Canticles and Psalter to the General Convention of 1895].

On flyleaf autograph note of Charles L. Hutchins, Secretary of the commission, dated Concord, Mass., Dec. 30, 1896: "This Psalter is the complete report of the Commission on Pointing the Canticles & Psalter, to the General Convention of 1895. The pointing of the Canticles, having been made by the Commission in 1893, and by the authority of the Convention, printed in the Hymnals, was omitted in this Report. This explains the absence of title-page, and the beginning of the pagination at page 20. But 15 copies of this Report were printed: 6 of these were subsequently destroyed in the further work of the Commission."
