Includes 2 hand-written autograph letters from Dufferin to Robert Browning, concerning the presentaion of this copy of his mother's poetry, dated 16 Sept '87 and Nov. 16 '87, tipped in front.
Probably compiled by the Marquis of Dufferin and Ava who had erected the tower in honor of his mother. Includes the Baroness of Dufferin and Clandeboye's poem "To my dear son on his 21st birthday" and Tennyson's ten-line poem beginning "Helen's tower, here I stand ..." Tennyson's poem was later published, with 2 added lines, in his Tirerias and other poems (1885).
