"This catalogue owes its existence to the liberal collaboration of more than 150 designers, printers, paper-makers and other participants, in ten countries"--Page [217].
"This catalogue, which has been produced jointly by Stevens-Nelson and the mills represented, is an extension of the series of broadsides issued from 1901 to 1949 by Japan Paper Company and the Stevens-Nelson Paper Corporation"--Page [8].

Consists of 107 samples (97 one-leaf, 3 two-leaf and 7 double-leaf) of handmade and mould made paper produced by various Japanese and Western mills in white and various colors.
Each sample is printed in black and various colors with specimen text, illustrations, letterhead or the like, with data on designer, printer, etc., and paper specifications on verso; some interleaved.
The principal paper manufacturers are: Papeteries d'Arches, Arnold & Foster, Papeteries Delacroix, Robert Fletcher & Son, J.
