"This catalogue, which has been produced jointly by Stevens-Nelson and the mills represented, is an extension of the series of broadsides issued from 1901 to 1949 by Japan Paper Company and the Stevens-Nelson Paper Corporation"--Page [8].
Additional samples used as endpapers, flyleaves (with special watermarks), frontispiece (light and shade watermark) and interleavings not counted in collation, above.
Consists of 107 samples (97 one-leaf, 3 two-leaf and 7 double-leaf) of handmade and mould made paper produced by various Japanese and Western mills in white and various colors.
Each sample is printed in black and various colors with specimen text, illustrations, letterhead or the like, with data on designer, printer, etc., and paper specifications on verso; some interleaved.
The principal paper manufacturers are: Papeteries d'Arches, Arnold & Foster, Papeteries Delacroix, Robert Fletcher & Son, J. Barcham Green, Ltd., Papeteries Johannot, Moulins à papier du Val de Laga, Papeteries du Marais et de Sainte Marie, Cartiere Miliani-Fabriano, Arthur Millbourn & Co., Portals, Ltd., Papierfabrik Zerkall Renker & Söhne and Papeteries de Rives.
