Library's copy has [8] leaves in v. 1 and [1] in v. 2 containing manuscript revisions in the hand of Henry Fuseli, who assisted Cowper with the translation.
Previously tipped-in: pencil drawing attributed to Fuseli on the verso of a letter to him from Thomas Coutts (father of Lady Guilford), transferred to the Drawings Department (Tr 1998.7).

Fuseli's own copy, inscribed to Lady Guilford and signed by her; probably the Baroness North (Lady Guilford's daughter).
Binding
Dark blue morocco, gold- and blind-tooled in Gothic Revival style, silk doublures with dentelles (between 1820 and 1830?); endpapers have watermark "W Balston 1811."
