Leaf cccxxvii is numbered cccxxvi, so that the succeeding leaves are off by one number.
The first book comprises a brief description of the countries of the known world, and a more particular account of Great Britain.
Trevisa's English translation from the original Latin which was in seven books. Caxton revised the whole and added an eighth book.
Binding:
19th-century English brown calf with gold tooled compartments on spine ; all edges gilt; possibly the work of C. Lewis.
