Bruce Rogers and William Edwin Rudge printed this book as a Christmas gift for their friends in December, 1920. The trade ed. replaced the printed presentation note on p. [1] of preliminary leaf with a generic note: "This little book conveys the greetings of ... to ...", and added a colophon in which the name of the illustrator, not mentioned in the original, is supplied.
