Generally known as Bishop Lloyd's Bible, from its chief promoter William Lloyd (1627-1717), bishop of St. Asaph, and afterwards successively bishop of Lichfield and Coventry, and Worcester. Edited by Pierce Lewis, of Llanvihangel Tre'r Beirdd, Anglesey, who was styled the "Welsh Rabbi".
