In connection with a map of the Holy Land [map 41] ... was a statement that it was not such a fertile land as was generally believed, since modern travellers reported it barren ... this paragraph ... was simply reproduced from the editions of 1522 and 1525. "Index Ptolomaei copiosissimus": 48 leaves at end has special title page, signatures: A-F⁸.

16th century, German blind-rolled calf over wooden boards. One roll includes the Saxon arms, and is dated 1540. 2 clasps.
