Elegy 15 in Book I is given in two versions, the 2d entitled "the same by B.I." and is supposed to be Ben Jonson's earliest published work.
A translation of all three books of Ovid's Amores by Christopher Marlowe; the epigrams by Sir John Davies.
The first two editions (STC 6350) formed part 2 of two editions of Sir John Davies' Epigrammes and had the title: Certaine of Ovids elegies. By C. Marlow (1595? and 1598?). The second translation of the 15th elegy in Book I, signed B.I. is by Ben Jonson and is his first printed work. It appeared originally in the first ed. of 1595?
Elegy 8 is in Book IX wrongly numbered 5; Elegy 3 in Book III wrongly numbered 5.
