Artist's manual of 18 vernacular subjects of the working classes of Leiden, including Martje van Harten (beggar), Jean Baptiste Fertez (d. 1796), Klaas Langenakker (newspaper vendor), Jan Rondekont (baggage handler at Leiden-Haarlem ferry), and local artist Jan Zwanenburg, with an etching of one of his drawings (part I, nos. 5-6).
