Proof impression is one of 30 pulled before the copperplate was steel faced.
The 1st state as described by Arwas; the Morgan Library & Museum, however, also has an earlier state of the print, with the two figures incomplete and the background detail entirely absent, and with a different remarque in the bottom margin showing a woman holding an ermine ruff and a man with a small moustache holding his hat in his hands (see TMP 2023-96.24:3).

Summary
Print shows the interior of a room where a woman, at left, stands partially undressed in front of a man seated on a sofa; she strikes a pose with one hand on her head and the other at her hip; with a remarque in the bottom margin of a woman holding a child (Arwas 391a).
