One of 11 drawings for the etchings featured as illustrations in Erastène Ramiro's Cours de danse fin de siècle (Paris : E. Dentu, Éditeur, 1892).
Forms part of a bound album of 13 signed drawings by Louis Legrand, the individual drawings in hinged mats, 431 x 312 mm, mounted on stubs, with letterpress title page and letterpress guard leaves (see TMP 2023-96.7).
The 11 designs which illustrated Erastène Ramiro's Cours de danse fin de siècle were also reproduced, along with Ramiro's text, as illustrations in the May 10, 1891 supplement of the periodical "Gil Blas illustre", where the piece appeared under the title "Les excentricités de la danse."
