"Ten sets of plates from William Blake's Jerusalem have been selected and printed by Michael Phillips, on an early nineteenth-century star-wheel rolling-press, in the Attic Flat at no. 5 Greyfriars Place, Edinburgh, on paper hand-made by Gangolph Uulbricht, Werkstatt für Paper, to reproduce the wove papers that Blake used, with each sheet watermarked W.B. The accompanying letterpress was set in Bell types and printed in Oxford by Richard Lawrence"--Booklet colophon.
All impressions printed in charcoal black, except for the unique pl. 1 (1st state), which is printed in orange-brown.
Library has set number 3, with 2 proofs of the frontispiece in their (unique) first state, printed in orangish-brown ink, and 1 replica copperplate of pl. 84 (PML 199019.1), as well as a replica copperplate and impression of "London" from Songs of Innocence and of Experience (cataloged separately as PML 199019.2-3).
